System and method enabling private to public media experiences

A method enabling private to public media experiences, comprising:

• receiving, by a server computer of a content management platform, a media content creation command sent through a content creator device connected to the content management platform through a network;
• in response to receiving the media content creation command, generating a media content instance that is only visible to and accessible by the content creator device;
• displaying the media content instance as an added element in a virtual world system;
• receiving, from the content creator device, a publishing command;
• and
• enabling the media content instance to be publicly visible to and accessible by another end user device.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium having stored thereon computer code configured to cause a server computer to perform actions comprising:

• receiving, by the server computer of a content management platform, a media content creation command sent through a content creator device connected to the content management platform through a network;
• in response to receiving the media content creation command, generating a media content instance that is only visible to and accessible by the content creator device;
• displaying the media content as an added element in a virtual world system;
• receiving, from the content creator device, a publishing command;
• and
• enabling the media content instance to be publicly visible to and accessible by another end user device.
