Abstract
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Information related to an accessory installable on the UE may be transmitted to a network entity. The installation of the accessory on the UE may be associated with an effect on a signal coverage pattern of the UE. Based on transmitting the information, communications between the UE and network entity may be performed in accordance with a set of parameters that are based on the effect of the accessory on the signal coverage pattern of the UE.
Claims30
A user equipment (UE), comprising:
- one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
- and
- one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the UE to:
- transmit, to a network entity, information related to an accessory that is installable on the UE and configured to at least partially cover the UE, wherein installation of the accessory on the UE is associated with an effect on a signal coverage pattern of the UE;
- and
- communicate, with the network entity, in accordance with a set of parameters that are based at least in part on the effect of the accessory on the signal coverage pattern of the UE.
A network entity, comprising:
- one or more memories storing processor-executable code;
- and
- one or more processors coupled with the one or more memories and individually or collectively operable to execute the code to cause the network entity to:
- receive, from a user equipment (UE), information related to an accessory installable on the UE, wherein installation of the accessory on the UE is associated with an effect on a signal coverage pattern of the UE;
- and
- communicate, with the UE, in accordance with a set of parameters that are based at least in part on the effect of the accessory on the signal coverage pattern of the UE.
A method for wireless communications by a user equipment (UE), comprising:
- transmitting, to a network entity, information related to an accessory installable on the UE, wherein installation of the accessory on the UE is associated with an effect on a signal coverage pattern of the UE;
- and
- communicating, with the network entity, in accordance with a set of parameters that are based at least in part on the effect of the accessory on the signal coverage pattern of the UE.
A method for wireless communications by a network entity, comprising:
- receiving, from a user equipment (UE), information related to an accessory installable on the UE, wherein installation of the accessory on the UE is associated with an effect on a signal coverage pattern of the UE;
- and
- communicating, with the UE, in accordance with a set of parameters that are based at least in part on the effect of the accessory on the signal coverage pattern of the UE.
