Abstract
The invention described herein provides non-HLA matched humanized mouse model (e.g., NSG mouse model) with patient-derived xenograft (PDX), as well as methods of making and using the same.
Claims4
A humanized immunodeficient mouse comprising:
- (a) human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs), wherein the percentage of human CD45+ cells in peripheral blood is about 20-30%;
- and
- (b) a human patient-derived xenograft (PDX) that forms a tumor in the humanized immunodeficient mouse,
- wherein the humanized immunodeficient mouse has a non-obese diabetic (NOD) scid gamma genetic background, is homozygous for a scid mutation, and is homozygous for an IL-2 receptor gamma chain deficiency,
- wherein the humanized immunodeficient mouse lacks functional mouse immune cells, and
- wherein the human PBMCs and the PDX are non-HLA matched.
