Imide-linked polymeric photoinitiators

An imide-linked photoinitiator selected from the group consisting of structure (I), (II), and (III):

• wherein Q1 and Q2 are each a small molecule or polymer, wherein Q1 and Q2 can be the same or different and comprise one or more units of the following structure (IV) or (V):
• wherein Z is a moiety that does not comprise an Ar group;
• Ar is selected from the group consisting of
• R is a linear or branched alkyl group, cycloalkyl, alkylenoxy, alkenyl or aryl group, an alkyl group containing a heteroatom or a carbonyl group;
• R1 is independently a linear or branched alkyl group, a cycloalkyl, an alkylenoxy, an alkenyl, an aryl group, an alkyl group containing a heteroatom, a carbonyl group, H, OR, NR2, SR, F, Cl, Br or I;
• Y1 is a linear or branched (C1 to C8) alkylene group or a bond;
• Lf is a functional linkage selected from the group consisting of an ether, an ester, an amide, a urethane, and a carbonate;
• m=0 or 1;
• n=0 or 1;
• p=0 or 1;
• and x=1-100.
