Liquid discharge apparatus, liquid discharge method, and storage medium

A liquid discharge apparatus configured to discharge liquid to apply the liquid to an object, the liquid discharge apparatus comprising:

• a head having a nozzle surface in which a plurality of nozzle rows each including a plurality of nozzles configured to discharge the liquid are arranged;
• a mover configured to relatively move the head and the object in each of a first direction and a second direction orthogonal to each other along the nozzle surface;
• a rotator configured to rotate the head by a rotation angle along the nozzle surface;
• and
• processing circuitry configured to control the relative movement by the mover to correct unevenness of a nozzle interval between the plurality of nozzles along the second direction, as viewed in the first direction orthogonal to the second direction, the unevenness being caused by an inclination between the first direction and a third direction when the head is rotated by the rotator, the third direction being a direction in which the plurality of nozzles are arranged in each of the plurality of nozzle rows, wherein
• the processing circuitry is further configured to
• determine the rotation angle of the head based on a shape of the object,
• predict whether a collision occurs between the object and the head, and
• in response to predicting that the collision occurs, cause the rotator to rotate the head from a first posture to a second posture selected to avoid collision, the first posture and the second posture of the head being different from each other by a predetermined degree in a plane parallel to the nozzle surface.
