## Abstract

This disclosure describes opioid-specific monoclonal antibodies (mAb), methods of making those antibodies, and methods of using those antibodies. The methods include, for example, treating a subject with an opioid use disorder or neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome or preventing and reversing opioid overdose in a subject. Additionally or alternatively, the antibodies may be used to detect opioids including, for example, in a screening, diagnostic, or forensic assay.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A polypeptide comprising:
the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO: 101; and
the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:104.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

A method comprising administering the polypeptide of claim 1 to a subject.

### Claim 3 (depends on 2)

The method of claim 2, wherein the subject may be exposed to an opioid, is suspected of being exposed to an opioid, or has been exposed to an opioid.

### Claim 4

A polypeptide comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:162.

### Claim 5 (depends on 4)

A method comprising administering the polypeptide of claim 4 to a subject.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, wherein the subject may be exposed to an opioid, is suspected of being exposed to an opioid, or has been exposed to an opioid.

### Claim 7

An antibody heavy chain comprising the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:162.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The antibody heavy chain of claim 7, wherein the heavy chain is humanized.

### Claim 9 (depends on 8)

A method comprising administering the antibody heavy chain of claim 8 to a subject.
