A method for increasing the plasma concentration of methyl 3-((methylsulfonyl)amino)-2-(((4-phenylcyclohexyl)oxy)methyl) piperidine-1-carboxylate, an optically active compound thereof, or a salt thereof, comprising administering to a subject (a) methyl 3-((methylsulfonyl)amino)-2-(((4-phenylcyclohexyl)oxy)methyl) piperidine-1-carboxylate, an optically active compound thereof, or a salt thereof;
- and (b) a CYP3A4 inhibitor.
A method for increasing wakefulness or decreasing excessive sleepiness in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject (a) methyl 3-((methylsulfonyl)amino)-2-(((4-phenylcyclohexyl)oxy)methyl) piperidine-1-carboxylate, an optically active compound thereof, or a salt thereof;
- and (b) a CYP3A4 inhibitor.
A composition comprising (a) methyl 3-((methylsulfonyl)amino)-2-(((4-phenylcyclohexyl)oxy)methyl) piperidine-1-carboxylate, an optically active compound thereof, or a salt thereof, and (b a CYP3A4 inhibitor.
