## Abstract

In one embodiment, a method for manufacturing an artificial eyelash includes configuring a placement mark on a surface, positioning a plurality of fibers on the surface based on the placement mark, placing a first adhesive near a base of the plurality of fibers to secure the plurality of fibers together, placing a second adhesive near the base of the plurality of fibers, and cutting the plurality of fibers in accordance to a predetermined shape. In particular, the second adhesive is a pressure-sensitive adhesive.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A method for manufacturing an artificial eyelash kit, the method comprising:
configuring a placement mark on a surface;
positioning a plurality of fibers on the surface based on the placement mark;
placing a first adhesive near a base of the plurality of fibers to secure the plurality of fibers together;
placing a second adhesive near the base of the plurality of fibers, the second adhesive being a pressure-sensitive adhesive;
cutting the plurality of fibers in accordance to a predetermined shape to form one or more artificial eyelash segments; and
providing a third adhesive configured to be applied to a user's natural eyelashes;
wherein, for each of the artificial eyelash segments, the artificial eyelash segment is configured to be secured to at least a portion of the user's natural eyelashes at a location corresponding to the second adhesive and where the third adhesive is applied to the user's natural eyelashes, and
wherein an application of the second adhesive with the third adhesive creates a bond that attaches the artificial eyelash segment to the user's natural eyelashes and allows relative movement between the user's natural eyelashes and the artificial eyelash segment at the location.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first adhesive is placed under the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 3 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the second adhesive is placed over the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 4 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first adhesive is configured to cure prior to cutting the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 5 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
applying pressure to the second adhesive to adhere the second adhesive to the plurality of fibers or the first adhesive.

### Claim 6 (depends on 5)

The method of claim 5, wherein the applied pressure is in a range from 95 N/cm2 to 100 N/cm2.

### Claim 7 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
pressing the second adhesive against the plurality of fibers or the first adhesive.

### Claim 8 (depends on 7)

The method of claim 7, wherein the second adhesive is pressed against the plurality of fibers or the first adhesive for at least three seconds.

### Claim 9 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein a side of the second adhesive facing away from the plurality of fibers is covered by a protective layer.

### Claim 10 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
arranging the plurality of fibers at a particular density.

### Claim 11 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, further comprising:
curling the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 12 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the second adhesive is different from the third adhesive.

### Claim 13 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the first adhesive is placed on top of the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 14 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the placement mark is an indication for alignment of the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 15 (depends on 1)

The method of claim 1, wherein the placement mark is a guide for alignment of the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 16

A system for manufacturing an artificial eyelash kit, the system comprising:
means for configuring a placement mark on a surface, wherein the placement mark indicates locations to place a plurality of fibers on the surface;
a first adhesive configured to be applied near a base of the plurality of fibers to secure the plurality of fibers together;
a second adhesive configured to be applied near the base of the plurality of fibers, the second adhesive being a pressure-sensitive adhesive;
means for cutting the plurality of fibers in accordance to a predetermined shape to form one or more artificial eyelash segments; and
a third adhesive configured to be applied to a user's natural eyelashes;
wherein, for each of the artificial eyelash segments, the artificial eyelash segment is configured to be secured to at least a portion of the user's natural eyelashes at a location corresponding to the second adhesive and where the third adhesive is applied to the user's natural eyelashes, and
wherein an application of the second adhesive with the third adhesive creates a bond that attaches the artificial eyelash segment to the user's natural eyelashes and allows relative movement between the user's natural eyelashes and the artificial eyelash segment at the location.

### Claim 17 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the first adhesive is placed under the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 18 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the second adhesive is placed over the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 19 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the first adhesive is configured to cure prior to cutting the plurality of fibers.

### Claim 20 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the second adhesive is configured to be adhered to the plurality of fibers or the first adhesive with application of pressure.

### Claim 21 (depends on 20)

The system of claim 20, wherein the applied pressure is in a range from 95 N/cm2 to 100 N/cm2.

### Claim 22 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the second adhesive is pressed against the plurality of fibers or the first adhesive.

### Claim 23 (depends on 22)

The system of claim 22, wherein the second adhesive is pressed against the plurality of fibers or the first adhesive for at least three seconds.

### Claim 24 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein a side of the second adhesive facing away from the plurality of fibers is covered by a protective layer.

### Claim 25 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the plurality of fibers are arranged at a particular density.

### Claim 26 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the plurality of fibers are curled.

### Claim 27 (depends on 16)

The system of claim 16, wherein the second adhesive is different from the third adhesive.
