Abstract
A display device includes a display panel including a display area, a non-display area adjacent to the display area and including a pad area, a circuit layer in the display area and the pad area, and a light emitting element in the display area. The circuit layer includes a first conductive pattern in the pad area, an insulating layer on the first conductive pattern and in which is defined an opening exposing the first conductive pattern to outside the insulating layer, and a first insulating pattern which is on the insulating layer and extends into the opening to be on a top surface of the first conductive pattern.
Claims12
A display device comprising:
- a display panel comprising:
- a display area;
- a non-display area which is adjacent to the display area and includes a pad area;
- a circuit layer in the display area and the pad area, the circuit layer including:
- a first conductive pattern which is in the pad area and includes a first top surface having a portion thereof exposed to outside of the display panel,
- an insulating layer on the first top surface of the first conductive pattern in the pad area and in which is defined an opening exposing the portion of the first top surface of the first conductive pattern to outside the insulating layer,
- the insulating layer including an inner surface which defines the opening and a second top surface which extends from the inner surface and extends along the first top surface of the first conductive pattern, and
- a first insulating pattern which is on the insulating layer, and extends along the inner surface of the insulating layer and into the opening which is defined in the insulating layer to be on the first top surface of the first conductive pattern;
- and
- a light emitting element layer including a light emitting element in the display area.
