Control methods and controllers for coordinated lighting effects

A controller for coordinated lighting effects, the controller comprising:

• a control information determination circuit configured to map a lighting effect to a first plurality of light sources in an environment, and modulate parameters of the first plurality of light sources to generate the lighting effect;
• and
• a spatial information determination circuit configured to determine spatial information about a second plurality of light sources including the first plurality of light sources and a new light source in the environment based on geometric information of the second plurality of light sources in the environment, wherein the geometric information comprises information about respective geometries of respective housings of the second plurality of light sources;
• the control information determination circuit further configured to reprogram the lighting effect based on the spatial information;
• and coordinate parameters of the new light source to generate the lighting effect.
