Wireless data packet acknowledgment schemes

A system including a first peripheral device and a second peripheral device, the system comprising:

• at least one processor and memory of the first peripheral device configured to cause the first peripheral device to receive, from a central device, a first isochronous data stream intended to be received by the first peripheral device;
• and
• at least one processor and memory of the second peripheral device configured to cause the second peripheral device to
• receive, from a central device, a second isochronous data stream intended to be received by the second peripheral device, wherein the first isochronous data stream and the second isochronous data stream switch conveying one or more packets according to a series of subevents of a connected isochronous stream (CIS) interval,
• receive, from the central device, a first link quality between the central device and the first peripheral device;
• determine a second link quality between the central device and the second peripheral device;
• select either the first peripheral device or the second peripheral device as an acknowledgment device by comparing the first link quality to the second link quality, wherein the second peripheral device is selected as the acknowledgment device when the second link quality is less than the first link quality;
• eavesdrop the first isochronous data stream in an attempt to receive a packet of the first isochronous data stream, and
• send, to the central device, an acknowledgment after the packet has been received when the second peripheral device is selected as the acknowledgment device.
