Abstract
A display device and a display apparatus are provided by the present disclosure. A curved portion of the cover plate of the display device includes a first point, when a first virtual normal line perpendicular to a surface of the curved portion where the first point is located extends toward a display area, the first virtual normal line does not intersect with the light-shielding portion adjacent to the first point and intersects with the display area. Therefore, a non-display area is capable of having a same forward light output as the display area, allowing users to experience a narrower border or even borderless visual experience when viewing the display device.
Claims15
A display device, comprising a display area and a non-display area disposed on at least one side of the display area, wherein the display device further comprises:
- a substrate;
- a light-emitting layer disposed on a side of the substrate, the light-emitting layer comprising a plurality of light-emitting pixels corresponding to the display area;
- a light-shielding layer disposed on a side of the light-emitting layer away from the substrate, the light-shielding layer comprising a light-shielding portion at least corresponding to the non-display area;
- and
- a cover plate disposed on a side of the light-shielding layer away from the substrate, the cover plate comprising a curved portion at least corresponding to the non-display area;
- wherein a surface of the curved portion comprises a first point, when a first virtual normal line defined as perpendicular to a surface of the curved portion where the first point is located extends toward the display area, the first virtual normal line does not intersect with the light-shielding portion adjacent to the first point and intersects with the display area;
- an orthographic projection of the curved portion onto the light-shielding layer is contained within the light-shielding portion in the light-shielding layer.
A display apparatus comprising a display device and an electronic component, the display device comprising a display area and a non-display area disposed on at least one side of the display area, wherein the display device comprises:
- a substrate;
- a light-emitting layer disposed on a side of the substrate, the light-emitting layer comprising a plurality of light-emitting pixels corresponding to the display area;
- a light-shielding layer disposed on a side of the light-emitting layer away from the substrate, the light-shielding layer comprising a light-shielding portion at least corresponding to the non-display area;
- and
- a cover plate disposed on a side of the light-shielding layer away from the substrate, the cover plate comprising a curved portion at least corresponding to the non-display area;
- wherein, a surface of the curved portion comprises a first point, when a first virtual normal line defined as perpendicular to a surface of a curved portion where the first point is located extends toward the display area, the first virtual normal line does not intersect with the light-shielding portion adjacent to the first point and intersects with the display area;
- an orthographic projection of the curved portion onto the light-shielding layer is contained within the light-shielding portion in the light-shielding layer;
- wherein the surface of the curved portion comprises a second point, when a second virtual normal line defined as perpendicular to a surface of a curved portion where the second point is located extends toward the display area, the second virtual normal line intersects with the light-shielding portion adjacent to the second point, and the first point is closer to the display area compared to the second point;
- wherein the curved portion corresponding to the first point is provided with a first curvature radius, the curved portion corresponding to the second point is provided with a second curvature radius, and the first curvature radius is less than the second curvature radius;
- wherein a first distance is defined from the first point to an adjacent boundary of the display area, a second distance is defined from a boundary of the curved portion where the first point is located at and away from the display area to the adjacent boundary of the display area, and a ratio between the first distance and the second distance ranges from one-third to one-half.
