Game access device with privileges

A method of providing automated player verification within a gaming environment, the method comprising:

• providing one or more gaming events at a first gaming location within said gaming environment, wherein at least one of said one or more gaming events involves placement of a wager, presentation of a game, and grant of a monetary award based upon an outcome of the game;
• receiving a request by a player at said first gaming location to participate in at least one particular gaming event selected from said one or more gaming events;
• obtaining information regarding said player from a communication object worn by said player, said communication object comprises an RFID tag, a pressure sensor or a moisture detector, and an associated closed electrical circuit;
• verifying that said information regarding said player is acceptable according to one or more set criteria;
• determining that said player is eligible to pay at a retail establishment based on said information;
• permitting said player to purchase retail purchases at said retail establishment;
• and
• permitting said at least one particular gaming event to commence or continue;
• determining an amount of time said player wears the communication object and an amount wagered by the player during the amount of time;
• and
• charging a sponsor based on the amount of time and the amount wagered.

An apparatus comprising:

• at least one processor configured to control:
• receiving, from at least one wearable communication object, information regarding a player,
• wherein the at least one wearable communication object includes an RFID tag, a pressure sensor or a moisture sensor and alters a communication pattern thereof in response to a change of an input level at the pressure sensor or the moisture sensor indicative of removal from the player, and
• in which the at least one wearable communication object is for use in conjunction with a computing device that accepts wagers and presents gaming events;
• verifying whether the information regarding said player is adequate according to at least one criteria for verifying the player;
• denying initiation or continuation of a particular gaming event when a determination, from the information, is the information is unacceptable or insufficient information has been obtained;
• determining an amount of time that the at least one wearable communication object is worn by the player and an amount wagered during the amount of time;
• and
• determining a payment amount based on the amount of time and amount wagered.
