Abstract
A method includes performing a validation process on a firmware feature description file indicating a set of firmware features in an integrated circuit package, and communicating a result of the validation process to firmware feature enablement logic residing in the integrated circuit package.

A method, comprising:
- performing a validation process on a firmware feature description file indicating a set of firmware features in an integrated circuit package, the validation process including determining that a requested set of firmware features is included in an approved set of firmware features stored in a one-time programmable memory region;
- communicating a result of the validation process to a secure processor residing in the integrated circuit package;
- and
- selectively enabling the set of firmware features via the secure processor when the result indicates successful validation.

A computing device, comprising:
- a secure processor residing in an integrated circuit package comprising authentication logic circuitry and configured to:
- perform a validation process on a firmware feature description file indicating a set of firmware features, the validation process including determining that a requested set of firmware features is included in an approved set of firmware features stored in a one-time programmable memory region, and
- selectively enable the set of firmware features when a result of the validation process indicates successful validation.
A computing system, comprising:
- a server device configured to generate a key certificate;
- and
- a processing device coupled with the server device and comprising a secure processor residing in an integrated circuit package comprising authentication logic circuitry, wherein the secure processor is configured to:
- based on the key certificate, perform a validation process on a firmware feature description file indicating a set of firmware features, the validation process including determining that a requested set of firmware features is included in an approved set of firmware features stored in a one-time programmable memory region;
- and
- using the authentication logic circuitry, selectively enable the set of firmware features when a result of the validation process indicates successful validation.
