Abstract
The present invention relates to a system and method for facilitating participation in a blockchain environment. A node (also referred to as “OAK Node”) installed in the user's device can be connected to other nodes via peer-to-peer networking. At least one program, for example at least one of Store, CLI, 3rd party software and remote control, can use OAK API to trigger various functions of the OAK Node.
Claims20
A system for operating one or more computing nodes in a networked environment, comprising:
- a management node comprising a container runtime, the container runtime operable to create one or more containers, each container providing a runtime environment for at least one software module;
- and
- an interface operable to remotely control one or more functions of one or more of:
- the management node or the one or more containers,
- wherein, responsive to receiving an indication of a selected functionality from the interface, the management node is configured to:
- (1) map the selected functionality to a selected set of software modules configured to perform the selected functionality, and
- (2) using the mapping automatically instantiate a corresponding set of containers to provide a corresponding runtime environment for the selected set of software modules.
A computer-implemented method for operating one or more computing nodes in a networked environment, comprising:
- creating, by a container runtime of a management node, one or more containers, each container providing a runtime environment for at least one software module,
- wherein the management node is configured to dynamically redistribute computational workloads among other computing nodes of the networked environment;
- receiving an indication of a selected functionality from a user interface communicatively connected to the management node;
- and
- responsive to receiving the indication of the selected functionality,
- (1) dynamically associating the selected functionality with a selected set of software modules configured to perform the selected functionality, and
- (2) using the association, automatically instantiating a corresponding set of containers to provide a corresponding runtime environment for the selected set of software modules.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing computer-executable code for operating one or more computing nodes in a networked environment, the computer-executable code executable by a processor to:
- receive an indication of a selected functionality from an interface;
- map the selected functionality to at least one software module configured to perform the selected functionality;
- and
- using the mapping, automatically instantiate, by a container runtime of a management node, one or more containers using one or more composable configuration templates shared between the management node and a different management node in the networked environment,
- wherein each container is configured to provide a runtime environment for the at least one software module, and
- wherein the management node is configured to directly communicate with other computing nodes of the networked environment.
