Abstract
A system for product water output. The system includes a controller, a first conductivity sensor in communication with the controller, a first product valve downstream from the first conductivity sensor and in communication with the controller, a second product valve downstream from the first product valve and in communication with the controller, a second conductivity sensor downstream from the second product valve and in communication with the controller, and a divert valve downstream from the first conductivity sensor and upstream from the first product valve and in communication with the controller.

A system, comprising:
- an apparatus including a sensor;
- a local controller configured to write sensor data to a persistent log file;
- and
- a web-based remote backend, the remote backend configured to receive updated data, including log entries associated with sensor readings, from the local controller,
- wherein at a first predetermined condition, the local controller updates the persistent log file by recording newly acquired sensor data without overwriting previously recorded values,
- wherein at a second predetermined condition, the remote backend evaluates sensor data from the persistent log file by comparing one or more sensor values to reference values based on previously stored normal operating data, and based on a deviation from the previously recorded values, determines whether to initiate a change to the operation of the apparatus, and
- wherein the remote backend is configured to wake the local controller by issuing a shoulder tap message indicating that the remote backend has one or more messages for the apparatus.
