Abstract
A vandal resistant light may include a housing having a first end and a second end, the first end opposite the second end, a lighting assembly disposed at the first end of the housing, a cover disposed at the second end of the housing, the cover includes a continuous uninterrupted groove, and a flange including an extension configured to be at least partially received within the continuous uninterrupted groove.

A vandal resistant light comprising:
- a housing having a first end and a second end, the first end opposite the second end;
- a lighting assembly disposed at the first end of the housing;
- a cover disposed at the second end of the housing, the cover includes a continuous uninterrupted groove that extends around and encloses an exposed portion of the cover;
- and
- a flange including an extension configured to be at least partially received within the continuous uninterrupted groove, wherein the flange includes a compound surface configured to receive a joint compound.

- a housing having a first end and a second end, the first end opposite the second end;
- a lighting assembly disposed at the first end of the housing, the lighting assembly including a plurality of light emitting diodes, a heat sink, and an assembly cover;
- a housing cover disposed at the second end of the housing, the housing cover includes a continuous uninterrupted groove that extends around and encloses an exposed portion of the housing cover;
- and
- a flange including an extension configured to be at least partially received within the continuous uninterrupted groove, wherein at least one fastener is configured to extend through the flange and the housing cover.
