Abstract
Provided herein are compounds that selectively inhibit HDAC6, a protein whose activity is associated with a variety of diseases (e.g., cancer, neurological disorders). Also provided are pharmaceutical compositions and kits comprising the compounds, and methods of treating HDAC6-related diseases and disorders (e.g., Alzheimer's disease, cancer) with the compounds in a subject, by administering the compounds and/or compositions described herein.

A compound of Formula (I):
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof,
- wherein:
- X is CR1 or N;
- Y is CR1 or N;
- provided that at least one of X and Y is N;
- R1 is hydrogen or halogen;
- Ra and Rb are each independently hydrogen or halogen;
- L is a bond;
- A is a 5-membered heteroaryl, wherein A is optionally substituted with one or more substituents R2;
- and
- each occurrence of R2 is independently halogen, substituted or unsubstituted amin-o, substituted or unsubstituted amido, cyano, substituted or unsubstituted acyl, substituted or unsubstituted alkyl, substituted or unsubstituted alkenyl, substituted or unsubstituted alkynyl, substituted or unsubstituted heteroaliphatic, substituted or unsubstituted heterocyclyl, substituted or unsubstituted carbocyclyl, substituted or unsubstituted aryl, or substituted or unsubstituted heteroaryl.
