Abstract
The present invention relates to a connection between a post part provided for being screwed into the jawbone and an associated superstructure part to which a dental prosthesis can be fastened. The connection between the post part and the superstructure part has a rotational self-centering action, wherein at least one of the surfaces provided for this purpose has a friction-minimizing modification and/or coating.
Claims6
A dental implant part provided for being inserted into a jawbone, comprising a receiving channel, wherein the receiving channel includes in a first indexing area within the receiving channel at least one guiding contact surface, the guiding contact surface providing rotational self-centering properties and being inclined against a longitudinal axis of the dental implant part, said first indexing area presenting no rotational locking mechanism and extending along a first portion of the longitudinal axis, wherein said first portion overlaps an external thread of the dental implant part along the longitudinal axis, and
- wherein the receiving channel includes in a second indexing area within the receiving channel a number of functional indexing surfaces oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of the dental implant part, said second indexing area extending along a second portion of the longitudinal axis that is distinct from the first portion.
