Method and apparatus for outputting image for virtual reality or augmented reality

An electronic device comprising:

• a memory configured to store a program for outputting an image;
• and
• a processor configured to perform the program
• wherein the processor is configured to:
• receive state information from an aerosol generating device through a communication unit of the electronic device;
• generate a target image corresponding to the state information;
• and
• output the target image through a display of the electronic device,
• wherein the processor is further configured to:
• determine whether a user exhales based on the aerosol generating device that was present in an image captured by a camera of the electronic device becoming invisible to the camera;
• and
• generate the target image based on determining that the user exhales.
