Abstract
A display device comprises banks spaced apart from each other on a substrate, a first electrode disposed on the banks, a second electrode disposed on the banks and spaced apart from the first electrode, and a light emitting element disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode cover the banks. The first electrode includes a first electrode portion overlapping the banks in a plan view and a first pattern portion separated from the first electrode portion. The second electrode includes a second electrode portion overlapping the banks in a plan view and a second pattern portion separated from the second electrode portion.

A display device comprising:
- banks spaced apart from each other on a substrate;
- a first electrode disposed on the banks;
- a second electrode disposed on the banks, and spaced apart from the first electrode;
- and
- a light emitting element disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode, wherein
- the first electrode and the second electrode cover the banks,
- the first electrode includes:
- a first electrode portion overlapping the banks in a plan view;
- and
- a first pattern portion separated from the first electrode portion, and
- the second electrode includes:
- a second electrode portion overlapping the banks in a plan view;
- and
- a second pattern portion separated from the second electrode portion,
- wherein:
- a separation distance between the first pattern portion and the second pattern portion is in a range of about 0.7 times to about 1 time a length of the light emitting element;
- or
- a width of the first pattern portion and a width of the second pattern portion are equal to or smaller than about 0.2 times the length of the light emitting element.
A display device comprising:
- banks spaced apart from each other on a substrate;
- a first electrode disposed on the substrate;
- a second electrode disposed on the substrate and spaced apart from the first electrode;
- and
- a light emitting element disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode,
- wherein the first electrode and the second electrode do not overlap the banks in a plan view, respectively, and
- wherein:
- a separation distance between the first electrode and the second electrode is in a range of about 0.7 times to about 1 time a length of the light emitting element;
- or
- a width of the first electrode and a width of the second electrode are equal to or smaller than about 0.2 times the length of the light emitting element.
A method of manufacturing a display device, the method comprising:
- preparing a target substrate including:
- banks spaced apart from each other on a substrate;
- a first electrode disposed on the banks, the first electrode including:
- a first electrode portion overlapping the banks in a plan view;
- and
- a first pattern portion separated from the first electrode portion;
- and
- a second electrode disposed on the banks, and spaced apart from the first electrode, the second electrode including:
- a second electrode portion overlapping the banks in a plan view;
- and
- a second pattern portion separated from the second electrode portion;
- and
- jetting ink including a plurality of light emitting elements disposed on the first electrode and the second electrode,
- wherein the first and second electrodes cover the banks, and
- wherein the method further comprises driving only the first pattern portion with a first power voltage and driving only the second pattern portion with a second power voltage.
