Abstract
The disclosure relates to a 5G or 6G communication system for supporting a higher data transmission rate. A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system includes obtaining one or more configurations for a fixed frame period (FFP) and an offset associated with a frame-based channel access, identifying a configuration for the FFP and the offset among the one or more configurations, identifying idle duration corresponding to the FFP associated with the configuration, and transmitting a sidelink channel in consideration of the idle duration.
Claims18
A method performed by a user equipment (UE) in a communication system, the method comprising:
- obtaining one or more configurations for a fixed frame period (FFP) and an offset associated with a frame-based channel access;
- identifying a configuration for the FFP and the offset among the one or more configurations based on geographic information of the UE;
- identifying an idle duration corresponding to the FFP associated with the configuration;
- and
- transmitting a sidelink channel in consideration of the idle duration,
- wherein the offset is based on an absolute length value in case that a subcarrier spacing of the sidelink channel is 15 kHz and the FFP is 1 ms,
- wherein the offset is based on a symbol unit value in case that the subcarrier spacing of the sidelink channel is 30 kHz and the FFP is 1 ms,
- wherein one or more guard symbols are mapped to the idle duration based on the offset, and
- wherein the sidelink channel is not transmitted on the guard symbols.
A user equipment (UE) in a communication system, the UE comprising:
- a transceiver;
- and
- a controller operatively coupled to the transceiver configured to:
- obtain one or more configurations for a fixed frame period (FFP) and an offset associated with a frame-based channel access;
- identify a configuration for the FFP and the offset among the one or more configurations based on geographic information of the UE;
- and
- identify an idle duration corresponding to the FFP associated with the configuration,
- wherein the transceiver is configured to transmit a sidelink channel in consideration of the idle duration,
- wherein the offset is based on an absolute length value in case that a subcarrier spacing of the sidelink channel is 15 kHz and the FFP is 1 ms,
- wherein the offset is based on a symbol unit value in case that the subcarrier spacing of the sidelink channel is 30 kHz and the FFP is 1 ms,
- wherein one or more guard symbols are mapped to the idle duration based on the offset, and
- wherein the sidelink channel is not transmitted on the guard symbols.
