System and method for providing cryptographically secured digital assets

A method of provisioning cryptographic digital assets, the method comprising:

• receiving a first limited number of physical shoes;
• scanning, via an optical scanning device, the physical shoes to determine corresponding makes and models of the physical shoes;
• generating, via a virtual object generator using the makes and models of the physical shoes, a second limited number of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) each including a digital shoe displaying a digital representation of a respective pair of the physical shoes, wherein the second limited number is equal to the first limited number;
• registering the NFTs to a blockchain ledger;
• assigning each of the NFTs to the respective pair of the physical shoes;
• receiving, via a computing node over a distributed computing network from a first computing device of a first user, an NFT request to acquire a first NFT of the NFTs;
• assigning, responsive to receiving the NFT request, ownership of the first NFT and ownership of a first pair of the physical shoes to a first personal user account of the first user;
• receiving, via the computing node from the first computing device of the first user, an NFT transfer request to transfer the first NFT to a second user;
• and
• reassigning, responsive to receiving the NFT transfer request, ownership of the first NFT and ownership of the first pair of physical shoes to a second personal user account of the second user.

A computing system for provisioning cryptographic digital assets over a distributed computing network with a first computing device of a first user, the computing system comprising:

• a communications device;
• a virtual object generator;
• an optical scanning device;
• and
• a server computer connected to the communications device and the virtual object generator, the server computer being programmed to:
• receive notification of obtaining a first limited number of physical shoes;
• scan, using the optical scanning device, the physical shoes to determine corresponding makes and models for the physical shoes;
• generate, using the virtual object generator based on the makes and models for the physical shoes, a second limited number of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) each including a digital shoe displaying a digital representation of a respective pair of the physical shoes, wherein the second limited number is equal to the first limited number;
• register the NFTs to a blockchain ledger;
• place the NFTs with the digital shoes in a cryptocurrency wallet associated with a company possessing the physical shoes;
• assign each of the NFTs to the respective pair of the physical shoes;
• receive, via the communications device over the distributed computing network from the first computing device of the first user, an NFT request to acquire a first NFT of the NFTs;
• and
• responsive to receiving the NFT request, assign ownership of the first NFT and ownership of a first pair of the physical shoes to a first personal user account of the first user.
