Abstract
Systems and methods herein describe privacy preserving multi-touch attribution. The described systems access a plurality of impression events and a plurality of conversion events, and for each impression event and each conversion event, wherein each impression event and each conversion event are associated with user identifiers, the described systems generates a hashed user identifier based on the associated user identifier, initiates a key agreement protocol comprising a key, generates an encrypted identifier by encrypting the hashed user identifier with the key, and stores the encrypted identifier.
Claims20
A method comprising:
- identifying a plurality of impression events, each of the impression events associated with individual user identifiers;
- receiving a key agreement protocol from a computing device, the key agreement protocol comprising a key, the computing device configured to initiate the key agreement protocol by:
- generating a hashed user identifier based on an associated user identifier of an individual conversion event;
- generating a random key;
- encrypting the random key using a second public key;
- generating an encrypted identifier by encrypting the hashed user identifier with the key;
- storing the encrypted identifier, identifying a conversion event associated with the encrypted identifier;
- and
- transmitting the encrypted random key;
- accessing a set of impression events associated with the conversion event, wherein each impression event in the set of impression events is attributed to one or more entities;
- and
- determining a first count representing a number of impression events attributed to the conversion event.
A system comprising:
- a processor;
- and
- a memory storing instructions that, when executed by the processor, configure the processor to perform operations comprising:
- identifying a plurality of impression events, each of the impression events associated with individual user identifiers;
- receiving a key agreement protocol from a computing device, the key agreement protocol comprising a key, the computing device configured to initiate the key agreement protocol by:
- generating a hashed user identifier based on an associated user identifier of an individual conversion event;
- generating a random key;
- encrypting the random key using a second public key;
- generating an encrypted identifier by encrypting the hashed user identifier with the key;
- storing the encrypted identifier, identifying a conversion event associated with the encrypted identifier;
- and
- transmitting the encrypted random key;
- accessing a set of impression events associated with the conversion event, wherein each impression event in the set of impression events is attributed to one or more entities;
- and
- determining a first count representing a number of impression events attributed to the conversion event.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium including instructions that, when processed by a computer, configure the computer to perform operations comprising:
- identifying a plurality of impression events, each of the impression events associated with individual user identifiers;
- receiving a key agreement protocol from a computing device, the key agreement protocol comprising a key, the computing device configured to initiate the key agreement protocol by:
- generating a hashed user identifier based on an associated user identifier of an individual conversion event;
- generating a random key;
- encrypting the random key using a second public key;
- generating an encrypted identifier by encrypting the hashed user identifier with the key;
- storing the encrypted identifier, identifying a conversion event associated with the encrypted identifier;
- and
- transmitting the encrypted random key;
- accessing a set of impression events associated with the conversion event, wherein each impression event in the set of impression events is attributed to one or more entities;
- and
- determining a first count representing a number of impression events attributed to the conversion event.
