Intelligent treatable sectors for radiation therapy plan generation

A system comprising:

• a non-transitory computer readable medium storing a set of instructions, that when executed, cause a processor to:
• monitor a treatment plan optimizer computer model to identify a set of treatment plans each comprising treatment planning images, structure set with planning target volume and organ at risk, and a range of angles for treatment beam entry, where the treatment plan optimizer computer model ingests a set of medical images and predicts each treatment plan comprising a respective range of angles for treatment beam entry;
• generate a training dataset comprising the monitored data;
• train a machine learning model using the training dataset to predict a new range of angles for treatment beam entry for a new patient by ingesting new patient data of the new patient;
• cause the treatment plan optimizer to limit a search space associated with a new treatment plan for the new patient in accordance with the new range.

A method comprising:

• generating, by a processor, a training dataset comprising a set of previously implemented treatment plans each comprising treatment planning images, structure set with planning target volume and organ at risk, and a range of angles for treatment beam entry,, wherein the set of previously implemented treatment plans was generated using a treatment plan optimizer computer model;
• training, by the processor, a machine learning model using the training dataset to predict a new range of angles for treatment beam entry for a new patient by ingesting new patient data of the new patient;
• and
• causing, by the processor, the treatment plan optimizer to limit a search space associated with a new treatment plan for the new patient in accordance with the new range.
