Abstract
Techniques of storing and retrieving medical data and information are provided. Medical result information can be stored on a long-term data repository in a shared network, e.g., the Internet. Pseudonymized identifiers of patients can be used to retrieve such data and information.
Claims24
A computer-implemented method, the method comprising:
- processing, by processing circuitry, first medical data to generate prior medical result information;
- sending, by the processing circuitry, the prior medical result information to a long-term data repository without sending the first medical data to the long-term data repository;
- obtaining, by the processing circuitry, second medical data comprising medical imaging data and non-pseudonymized information of a patient, the medical imaging data captured for an anatomical region of the patient;
- generating, by the processing circuitry, at least one pseudonymized identifier associated with the patient, the generating being performed based on the non-pseudonymized information of the patient;
- transmitting, by the processing circuitry, a query message to the long-term data repository for retrieving the prior medical result information from the long-term data repository, the query message being constructed based on the at least one pseudonymized identifier;
- processing, by the processing circuitry, the second medical data based on the prior medical result information;
- and
- causing, by the processing circuitry, the long-term data repository to delete the prior medical result information by sending a deletion message to the long-term data repository, the deletion message including the at least one pseudonymized identifier.

A device comprising:
- processing circuitry configured to cause the device to,
- process first medical data to generate first medical result information,
- send the first medical result information to a long-term data repository without sending the first medical data to the long-term data repository,
- obtain second medical data comprising medical imaging data and non-pseudonymized information of a patient, the medical imaging data captured for an anatomical region of the patient,
- generate at least one pseudonymized identifier associated with the patient, the generation being performed based on the non-pseudonymized information of the patient,
- transmit a query message to the long-term data repository for retrieving the first medical result information from the long-term data repository, the query message being constructed based on the at least one pseudonymized identifier,
- process the second medical data based on the first medical result information, and
- cause the long-term data repository to delete the first medical result information by sending a deletion message to the long-term data repository, the deletion message including the at least one pseudonymized identifier.

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising instructions that, when executed by processing circuitry of a computing device, cause the computing device to:
