Abstract
An example operation includes one or more of receiving, by a transport, over an open wireless network an encrypted software update and receiving, by the transport, over a closed wireless network a one-time key to decrypt the encrypted software update, wherein the one-time key is received while the transport is in motion and about to perform an action related to the software update.
Claims20
A method, comprising:
- receiving an encrypted software update by a transport, wherein the encrypted software update includes a critical portion and a non-critical portion that are identified by the transport as critical or non-critical based on systems of the transport that the critical portion and the non-critical portion will respectively update;
- reassembling the critical portion and the non-critical portion into the encrypted software update by the transport;
- receiving a one-time key by the transport after the critical portion and the non-critical portion are reassembled;
- and
- decrypting the encrypted software update by the transport using the one-time key.
A transport, comprising:
- a processor that, when executing one or more instructions stored in a memory, is configured to:
- receive an encrypted software update by a transport, wherein the encrypted software update includes a critical portion and a non-critical portion that are identified by the transport as critical or non-critical based on systems of the transport that the critical portion and the non-critical portion will respectively update;
- reassemble the critical portion and the non-critical portion into the encrypted software update;
- receive a one-time key after the critical portion and the non-critical portion are reassembled;
- and
- decrypt the encrypted software update with the one-time key.
A non-transitory computer-readable medium comprising one or more instructions that, when executed by a processor associated with a transport, cause the processor to perform:
- receiving an encrypted software update by a transport, wherein the encrypted software update includes a critical portion and a non-critical portion that are identified by the transport as critical or non-critical based on systems of the transport that the critical portion and the non-critical portion will respectively update;
- reassembling the critical portion and the non-critical portion into the encrypted software update;
- receiving a one-time key after the critical portion and the non-critical portion are reassembled;
- and
- decrypting the encrypted software update using the one-time key.
