Abstract
Method and apparatus for displaying cultured cell wherein the image can be smoothly moved into and out of focus and can be zoomed in and out and panned.
Claims6
A method of displaying cultured cells in a transparent plate with a plurality of wells on a display screen, comprising the steps of:
- taking a plurality of z-axis images of the cells with a predetermined z-offset at a predetermined area of a well, processing corresponding pixels of each z-axis image with a texture function to provide a smooth transition from one z-stack image to the next when transitioning from one z-stack image to another on the display screen and providing a user control on the display screen to effect transition from one z-stack image to the next wherein the display of a cell image gives the appearance of smoothly moving the cell image into and out of focus.
