Abstract
The invention relates to a device for activating a mediator species by way of electrolysis, including a voltage source and an anode connected to the voltage source and a cathode connected to the voltage source, the anode being enclosed in a liquid-permeable, electrically non-conductive sheath.
Claims20
A device for activating a mediator species via electrolysis, the device comprising:
- a voltage source;
- an anode connected to the voltage source;
- a cathode connected to the voltage source;
- and
- a liquid-permeable, electrically non-conductive sheath that encloses the entirety of the anode and the cathode, wherein the sheath is flexible;
- and
- wherein the sheath comprises a spongy intermediate layer configured to absorb a certain amount of washing liquor.
