Laundry processing apparatus

A laundry treating apparatus comprising:

• a cabinet;
• a tub disposed inside the cabinet and configured to receive water therein;
• a drum rotatably disposed inside the tub and configured to receive laundry therein;
• a detergent feeder connected to the tub and including a first detergent container and a second detergent container each configured to receive a detergent;
• and
• a controller configured to control the detergent feeder to selectively perform one of a single detergent mode or a complex detergent mode,
• wherein controlling the detergent feeder comprises:
• based on the single detergent mode being performed, controlling the detergent feeder to supply the detergent to the tub from one of the first detergent container or the second detergent container, and
• based on the complex detergent mode being performed, controlling the detergent feeder to supply the detergents to the tub from the first detergent container and the second detergent container, and
• wherein the controller is further configured to, based on (i) types of the detergents stored in the first detergent container and the second detergent container being different from each other and (ii) switching between the single detergent mode and the complex detergent mode being performed, perform a cleaning request mode to request cleaning of at least one of the first detergent container or the second detergent container.
