An L-threonine exporter protein variant having comprising an amino acid sequence having at least 80% sequence identity to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:

• wherein:
• the amino acid sequence has a threonine at a position corresponding to the 53rd position with respect to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
• 1;
• or the amino acid sequence has any amino acid except for leucine at a position corresponding to the 62nd position with respect to the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
• 1, and the L-threonine exporter protein variant has L-threonine exporting activity.
