A non-transitory computer readable medium for a driving assistance device, which is configured to assist driving of a vehicle having an autonomous driving function, the non-transitory computer readable medium storing a driving assistance program including instructions configured to, when executed by at least one processor of the driving assistance device, cause the at least one processor to implement:
- acquiring a traffic status in a section between a present location of the vehicle, which drives in an automatic operation in an automatic operation feasible section, and an end point of the automatic operation feasible section, the automatic operation feasible section being set as a limited domain in advance on map information;
- and
- altering change request timing, at which a change request is made to request a driver to make a driving change from the autonomous driving function to the driver, according to the traffic status acquired, wherein
- the processor is configured to
- determine whether the vehicle is under congestion,
- determine whether the driver performs a second task,
- set, based on a result of determination whether the vehicle is under congestion and a result of determination whether the driver performs the second task, the change request timing, in a state where the vehicle is under congestion and where the driver performs the second task, differently from the change request timing in a state where the vehicle is under congestion and where the driver does not perform the second task, and
- delay the change request timing when determining that the vehicle is under congestion, as compared with the change request timing when determining that the vehicle is under non-congestion,
- the driving assistance device further comprising:
- a vehicle control unit configured to execute a longitudinal and/or lateral motion control of the vehicle, when the vehicle drives in the automatic operation.
