Abstract
A method, computer system, and a computer program product for quality control in 3D printing is provided. The present invention may include receiving a print job for a 3D printer, wherein the print job includes a digital model. The present invention may include monitoring the printing process of the digital model. The present invention may include identifying one or more deviations in the printing process.
Claims20
A method for quality control in 3D printing, the method comprising:
- receiving a print job for a 3D printer, wherein the print job includes a digital model;
- monitoring a printing process of the digital model;
- identifying one or more deviations in the printing process;
- determining that a quality acceptance criteria is at risk based on the identified one or more deviations;
- and
- transmitting an alert to a user.
A computer system for quality control in 3D printing, comprising:
- one or more processors, one or more computer-readable memories, one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage medium, and program instructions stored on at least one of the one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage medium for execution by at least one of the one or more processors via at least one of the one or more computer-readable memories, wherein the computer system is capable of performing a method comprising:
- receiving a print job for a 3D printer, wherein the print job includes a digital model;
- monitoring a printing process of the digital model;
- identifying one or more deviations in the printing process;
- determining that a quality acceptance criteria is at risk based on the identified one or more deviations;
- and
- transmitting an alert to a user.
A computer program product for quality control in 3D printing, comprising:
- one or more computer readable storage media, and program instructions collectively stored on the one or more computer readable storage media, the program instructions comprising:
- receiving a print job for a 3D printer, wherein the print job includes a digital model;
- monitoring a printing process of the digital model;
- identifying one or more deviations in the printing process;
- determining that a quality acceptance criteria is at risk based on the identified one or more deviations;
- and
- transmitting an alert to a user.
