Device, system and method for slicing film material

A modular adaptor for a pallet stretch-wrapping machine, adapted to provide strips of stretch film wrap of various widths, the adaptor comprising:

• a blade assembly configured to slit an incoming web of stretch film wrap into two or more strips;
• a primary guide disposed downstream of the blade assembly and comprising two or more tapered recesses, each recess dimensioned to receive and guide a respective one of the strips;
• a secondary guide
• positioned downstream of the primary guide;
• and
• a mounting support structure by which the primary guide and the secondary guide are mounted for relative movement in a direction substantially parallel to a direction of travel of the strips,
• wherein the adaptor is configured, such that, changing the relative positions of the primary guide and the secondary guide repositions the strips within the respective tapered recesses and thereby varies an effective width of each strip.
