Mobile robot and method for controlling mobile robot

A method performed by a mobile robot including communication circuitry, a sensor, a user interface, and a controller electrically connected to the communication circuitry, the sensor, and the user interface, the method comprising:

• obtaining, by the mobile robot through the communication circuitry, state information of an electronic device;
• detecting, by the mobile robot through the sensor, a user to obtain user information;
• determining, by the mobile robot, a target user to provide information related to an operation of the electronic device, based on at least one of the state information of the electronic device or the user information;
• obtaining, by the mobile robot, event information about a change in the operation of the electronic device;
• determining, by the mobile robot, a notification type of the event information, based on at least one of a location of the target user or a state of the target user;
• providing, by the mobile robot, the event information in the determined notification type through at least one of the user interface or another electronic device;
• providing, by the mobile robot, a first notification of the event information to the target user;
• and
• after providing the first notification, determining, by the mobile robot, whether to provide a second notification of the event information at the location of the target user through the user interface based on whether a behavior of the target user corresponding to the first notification is detected.

One or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media storing computer-executable instructions that, when executed by one or more processors of a mobile robot including communication circuitry, a sensor, and a user interface in which the one or more processors is electrically connected to the communication circuitry, the sensor, and the user interface, cause the mobile robot to perform operations, the operations comprising:

• obtaining, by the mobile robot through the communication circuitry, state information of an electronic device;
• detecting, by the mobile robot through the sensor, a user to obtain user information;
• determining, by the mobile robot, a target user to provide information related to an operation of the electronic device, based on at least one of the state information of the electronic device or the user information;
• obtaining, by the mobile robot, event information about a change in the operation of the electronic device;
• determining, by the mobile robot, a notification type of the event information, based on at least one of a location of the target user or a state of the target user;
• providing, by the mobile robot, the event information in the determined notification type through at least one of the user interface or another electronic device;
• providing, by the mobile robot, a first notification of the event information to the target user;
• and
• after providing the first notification, determining, by the mobile robot, whether to provide a second notification of the event information at the location of the target user through the user interface based on whether a behavior of the target user corresponding to the first notification is detected.
