Abstract
Magneto-mechanical capsules can include a body, a first magnet attached to a first end of the body, a second magnet attached to a second end of the body, and a third magnet disposed between the first magnet and the second magnet. In some cases, the third magnet is configured to oscillate in response to an external magnetic field to produce a second magnetic field.
Claims18
A system comprising:
- a transducer configured to transmit a magnetic field;
- and
- a magneto-mechanical capsule comprising:
- a body;
- a first magnet attached to a first end of the body;
- a second magnet attached to a second end of the body;
- and
- a third magnet disposed in the body between the first magnet and the second magnet, the third magnet configured to rotationally oscillate about a longitudinal axis of the body relative to the first and second magnets to produce a magnetic signal in response to the magnetic field, the magnetic signal being indicative of the rotational oscillation of the third magnet,
- wherein the transducer is configured to detect the magnetic signal.
