Abstract
A novel canola variety designated 4PPQP40A and seed, plants and plant parts thereof. Methods for producing a canola plant that comprise crossing canola variety 4PPQP40A with another canola plant. Methods for producing a canola plant containing in its genetic material one or more traits introgressed into 4PPQP40A through backcross conversion and/or transformation, and to the canola seed, plant and plant part produced thereby. Hybrid canola seed, plant or plant part produced by crossing the canola variety 4PPQP40A or a locus conversion of 4PPQP40A with another canola variety.
Claims20
A seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of canola line 4PPQP40A, representative seed of the canola line 4PPQP40A having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202309006.
A converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell of canola line 4PPQP40A, representative seed of the canola line 4PPQP40A having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202309006, wherein the converted seed, plant, plant part or plant cell comprises a locus conversion, and wherein the plant or a plant grown from the converted seed, plant part or plant cell comprises the locus conversion and otherwise comprises all of the physiological and morphological characteristics of canola line 4PPQP40A when grown under the same environmental conditions.
An F1 hybrid seed produced by crossing a plant or plant part of inbred canola line 4PPQP40A, representative seed of the line having been deposited under NCMA accession number 202309006 with a different Brassica plant, wherein inbred canola line 4PPQP40A further comprises a transgene that is inherited by the seed, wherein the transgene was introduced into inbred canola line 4PPQP40A by backcrossing or genetic transformation.
