Probenecid compounds for the treatment of inflammasome-mediated lung disease

A compound having the structure of Formula I,

• tautomers thereof and/or pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof;
• wherein
• A is C(O)N(R3), phenylene, oxazolylene, thiazolylene, piperidinylene, or
• L is C3-10 alkylene;
• X is CHO, COOH, C(O)NR4R5, COOR6, NH2 or NHR;
• R is 2-chloropyrimidin-4-yl;
• R1 and R2 are independently a substituted or unsubstituted C1-6 alkyl group, or one of R1 and R2 is H, and the other is cyclohexyl-NH—C(O), or R1 and R2 together are a C4-6 alkylene group and form a 5-, 6-, or 7-member ring with the nitrogen to which they are attached, said ring optionally substituted with a phenyl group;
• R3 and R4 are independently selected from H or a C1-6 alkyl group;
• R5 is selected from H, PEG, or a C1-6 alkyl group;
• and
• R6 is selected from a substituted or unsubstituted C1-10 alkyl, C2-10 alkenyl, or C7-14 aralkyl group.
