Abstract
A carrier assembly for holding a hose that includes a main body having a first portion movingly engaged with a second portion. There is a guide rail disposed on at least one of the first portion, and the second portion. Either the first portion or the second portion is configured with a gripper element, and a latch.
Claims20
A carrier assembly for holding a hose comprising:
- a main body comprising:
- a first portion;
- and a second portion hingedly connected with the first portion at an at least one point;
- a guide rail disposed on at least one of the first portion and the second portion;
- and
- a deadman assembly coupled with the guide rail,
- wherein at least one of the first portion and the second portion comprise a gripper feature,
- wherein the first portion has a latch having a latch end configured for engaging with a latch slot of the second portion,
- wherein the carrier assembly is movable between an open position and a closed position, and
- wherein when the carrier assembly is disposed on and around the hose, a pin is used to keep the carrier assembly in the closed position around the hose.

- a main body comprising:
- a first portion;
- and a second portion hingedly connected with the first portion,
- a guide rail disposed on at least one of the first portion and the second portion;
- wherein each of the first portion and the second portion comprise a respective gripper insert disposed thereon,
- wherein the carrier assembly is movable between an open position and a closed position
- wherein the carrier assembly is disposed on and around the hose, and
- wherein in the closed position the gripper insert is configured to allow for freedom of rotational movement between the carrier assembly and the hose positioned therein.

A carrier assembly for holding a hose comprising:
- a main body comprising:
- a first portion;
- and a second portion movingly engaged with the first portion;
- a first guide rail disposed on the first portion;
- a thrust management device coupled with the first guide rail, the device comprising a pad mount having a pad coupled therewith;
- a latch disposed on a side of the first portion;

- a latch slot disposed on the second portion;
- wherein at least one of the first portion and the second portion is configured with an insert receptacle,
- wherein the carrier assembly is movable between an open position and a closed position,
- wherein the gripper insert comprises a rib and a wear indicator surface,
- wherein when the carrier assembly is disposed on and around the hose in the closed position, the rib is in contact with the hose,
- wherein the wear indicator surface has a top surface with a depressed depth as compared to a rib top surface of the rib,
- wherein a gripper insert is disposed in the insert receptacle, and
- wherein the latch has a latch end configured for engaging with the latch slot.
