A method of inducing proliferation of cardiomyocytes, the method comprising contacting the cardiomyocytes with an effective amount of an agrin peptide comprising a fragment of SEQ ID NO:
- 5, wherein the agrin peptide is 80-100 kDA.
A method of treating a heart disease in a subject in need thereof, comprising administering to the subject an agrin peptide comprising a fragment of SEQ ID NO:
- 5, wherein the agrin peptide is 80-110 kDA.
A method of inducing Erk activation in a cardiomyocyte, comprising contacting the cardiomyocite with an agrin peptide comprising a fragment of SEQ ID NO. 5, wherein the agrin peptide is 80-100 kDA.
