Clamping devices for external fixation device

A clamping system, comprising:

• a first clamp body and a second clamp body, each including a first jaw and a second jaw configured to receive a respective connector rod between the first jaw and the second jaw, each clamp body made from a first material and a second material in which a portion of the first material is embedded within the second material such that a first layer of the first material is positioned between a second layer of the second material and a third layer of the second material, wherein the first material is more rigid than the second material, each clamp body being an integrally formed as a single component, the first jaw including a plurality of teeth formed of the first material and extending through the second layer of the second material to allow the teeth to contact the connector rod, wherein at least one of the clamp bodies has a rounded top;
• a securing assembly movable between a first position and a second position and coupled to each clamp body such that moving the securing assembly from the first position to the second position reduces a distance between the first jaw and the second jaw to prevent the respective connector rod from moving within the first jaw and the second jaw;
• a bone pin extending through each clamp body, wherein the bone pin is movable within a range of motion within each clamp body;
• a bone pin locking element, wherein the bone pin locking element is engaged to a lever, wherein the lever rotates with respect to the bone pin locking element to define the range of motion of the bone pin;
• wherein at least one of the first clamp body and second clamp body includes a clamp connection interface formed as a concave cavity with an aperture therethrough for receiving the bone pin;
• and
• a clamp connector located between the first clamp body and the second clamp body, shaped to engage the rounded top on one of the clamp bodies and the clamp connection interface on the other of the clamp bodies.
