Abstract
Disclosed are portable drinkware, beverage containers, and beverage systems featuring a lid structure and a straw assembly. The portable drinkware may be configured to be leak-resistant, insulated, and hygienic. The lid structure may include mechanisms for improved spill prevention, sanitary operation, and secure attachment of a straw assembly that is configured for easy installation and removal. A range of materials and connection features may be provided depending on the particular type of beverage container.

A lid structure for a beverage system comprising:
- a body portion;
- and
- a keyed straw assembly.
A beverage system comprising:
- a keyed straw assembly;
- a base structure comprising a threaded portion proximate an opening edge of the base structure;
- and
- a lid structure having a connection port configured to engage with the keyed straw assembly.
