Abstract
An elastic pad includes a body and at least one additional separate elastic pad layer independent of the body. The at least one additional elastic pad layer can be stacked and attached on top of the body. The elastic pad is configured to allow users to select types, number and stacking sequence of additional elastic pad layers. The elastic pad provides users with convenience in assembling and replacing the additional elastic pad layers and a better customization experience without disassembling the body.
Claims21
A customizable elastic pad comprising:
- a body including:
- an outer cover;
- an elastic module layer arranged in a receiving space within the outer cover, the elastic module layer including an array of elastic modules, each elastic module having a compressed conical spring;
- and a balance layer having a plurality of openings, each opening sized to fit around an outer diameter of one of the elastic modules at a predetermined height, so that the elastic modules are linked to each other by the balance layer;
- and
- at least one additional elastic pad layer configured to be stacked on top of and attached to the body.
