Managing a charging operation in a communication network

A controller for managing a charging operation in a communication network, the controller comprising a processor and a memory, the memory containing instructions executable by the processor such that the controller is operable to:

• determining a low balance condition of a user of the network during a network service provided to the user by the network;
• and determining a prioritized provider and transferring a credit to the user from the prioritized provider to continue the network service;
• wherein the prioritized provider is determined from a plurality of providers based on respective connectivity parameters between the user and each provider and a respective credit parameter of each provider;
• wherein the connectivity parameters are determined using a learning model;
• wherein determining the prioritized provider comprises determining a priority order of providers using the connectivity parameters and checking the credit parameters of the providers in the priority order until a provider is determined having a credit parameter meeting a credit condition corresponding to continuing the network service for the user.
