Pickup devices optimised for amplifying an acoustic guitar

A method of amplifying an acoustic guitar using a transducer system, the transducer system comprising:

• a magnet;
• a printed circuit board inductance coil coupled to the magnet, wherein the printed circuit board inductance coil is arc shaped;
• and
• an arc shaped housing enclosing the magnet and the printed circuit board inductance coil;
• wherein the method comprises:
• mounting the arc shaped housing on the acoustic guitar such that the arc shaped housing is found adjacent to the end of a fingerboard unit of the acoustic guitar, wherein the mounted arc shaped housing is aligned with a circumference of a sound hole of the acoustic guitar, and wherein a midpoint of the arc shaped housing is positioned adjacent to a midpoint of a width of a neck unit of the acoustic guitar.

A guitar transducer system comprising:

• magnet;
• an arc-shaped printed circuit board inductance coil coupled to the magnet;
• and
• an arc shaped housing enclosing the magnet and the printed circuit board inductance coil, wherein a center of the arc shaped housing is located at an intersection of an imaginary line drawn from a center of a sound hole of a guitar to a middle point of a lower edge of a fingerboard unit of the guitar.

A method of amplifying an acoustic guitar using a transducer system, the transducer system comprising:

• an arc shaped housing;
• a plurality of magnets;
• and
• a plurality of inductance coils, at least one inductance coil enclosing and coupled to a corresponding magnet of the plurality of magnets, wherein the plurality of inductance coils are mounted along the arc shaped housing, the arc shaped housing enclosing the magnets and inductance coils;
• and
• wherein the method comprises:
• mounting the arc shaped housing on the acoustic guitar such that the arc shaped housing is found adjacent to the end of a fingerboard unit of the acoustic guitar.
