Apparatus, system and process for regulating a control mechanism of a well

A system for regulating an operational position of a wellhead control mechanism of a wellhead, the system comprising:

• a first sensor and a second sensor;
• a controller circuit that is configured to:
• lock the wellhead control mechanism in a first operational position so that the operational position of the wellhead control mechanism cannot change;
• receive condition-based sensory information from the first sensor and the second sensor and to process the condition-based sensory information in real-time to determine if it is safe to change the first operational position of the wellhead control mechanism to a second operational position,
• wherein the controller circuit is further configured to generate a display signal in real-time to represent the processing of the condition-based sensory information and whether it is safe to change the first operational position of the wellhead control mechanism;
• and
• a display output that is operatively coupled to the controller circuit, wherein the display output is configured to receive the display signal and to generate in real-time a visual representation of whether it is safe to change the operational position of the wellhead control mechanism,
• wherein the condition-based sensory information comprises:
• (i) fluid-based sensory information that relates to a condition of a fluid that is within the wellhead, within a conduit that is in fluid communication with the wellhead, below the wellhead or any combination thereof;
• or
• (ii) object-based sensory information that relates to whether or not a well-operation tool is positioned within the wellhead or below the wellhead
• wherein the first sensor is configured to detect the condition of the fluid within the wellhead, the conduit, the wellhead control mechanism or any combination thereof,
• wherein the second sensor is configured to detect whether the well-operation tool is positioned within the wellhead or below the wellhead, and further configured to communicate the object-based sensory information to the controller circuit, and
• wherein if the controller circuit generates the display signal to indicate that it is safe to change the operational position of the wellhead control mechanism, the controller circuit will unlock the wellhead control mechanism so that the wellhead control mechanism can be moved to the second operational position.
