Abstract
A sealed package includes first and second opposed plies, each with first and second edges, wherein the first edges of the first and second plies have overlying sections that form a first seal, and wherein the second edges of the first and second plies have overlying sections that form a second seal; the first and second plies include polymeric film. A score line is present adjacent the second seal, the score line only partially penetrating the first ply and extending less than a full width of the first ply.
Claims5
A sealed package, comprising:
- a first ply and a second ply opposed to the first ply, each of the first and second plies with first and second edges, wherein the first edges of the first and second plies have overlying sections that form a first seal, and wherein the second edges of the first and second plies have overlying sections that form a second seal;
- wherein the first and second plies comprise machine direction oriented (MDO) polyethylene film;
- and
- wherein a score line is present adjacent the second seal, the score line only partially penetrating the first ply and extending less than a full width of the first ply, the score line being oriented in a cross-machine direction relative to the MDO polyethylene.
