System and method for asymmetric data compression using dual codebooks

A computer system comprising a hardware memory, wherein the computer system is configured to execute software instructions stored on nontransitory machine-readable storage media that:

• receive digital data to be compressed using a codebook, from a source computing device;
• add new sourceblocks to a codebook based on received non-training data to be compressed;
• create a behavior codebook from a set of rules, limitations, policies, or other configuration or behavioral settings for a library engine, wherein the behavior codebook alters or determines the specific operations of the data compaction using a codebook;
• encode and decode data using the codebook and behavior codebook;
• return the newly encoded or decoded data to the source computing device;
• and
• distribute the data codebook to one or more receiving devices for decoding operations while maintaining the behavior codebook securely at an encoding device, wherein the data codebook is used to decode data, and wherein the data codebook cannot be used to encode data properly without the behavior codebook.
