Portable fluid tank system with multi-state control interface and remote operation

A remote transmitting device for a portable fluid tank ejection system configured for field-deployable spray applications, the remote transmitting device comprising:

• a communication module configured to wirelessly transmit command signals to the portable fluid ejection system, wherein the portable fluid ejection system comprises a fluid tank configured to store fluid for pressurized ejection, and a fluid actuation system comprising a pump and a conduit, the fluid actuation system configured to generate pressurized flow of the fluid from the fluid tank through the conduit toward an external environment;
• a pairing mechanism configured to facilitate establishment of a successful pairing of the remote transmitting device with the portable fluid ejection system;
• a user-operable button incorporated into the remote transmitting device, wherein while successfully paired with the portable fluid ejection system, activation of the user-operable button transmits the command signals to the portable fluid ejection system to toggle an operational state between an active state and an inactive state,
• wherein the fluid actuation system is operable via the remote transmitting device only when a physical selector of a multi-state control interface of the portable fluid ejection system is positioned in a wireless remote control mode, and
• wherein the fluid actuation system is not operable via the remote transmitting device when the physical selector is positioned in a local control mode, and is instead operable based on local user input while the physical selector is positioned in the local control mode.
