Selective serotonin receptor modulators and methods of making and using the same

A method of treating staring spells and/or loss of awareness associated with thalamocortical oscillations, comprising orally administering to a human subject in need thereof at least one compound selected from compounds of Formula V:

• W3 is —C(R10)(R11) wherein n is an integer selected from 1 to 4;
• W4 is
• wherein m is 0 or 1;
• R10, R11, R12, and R13 are, for each occurrence, independently selected from hydrogen, deuterium, and fluoro;
• R15 is selected from hydrogen, deuterium, and fluoro;
• R4, R6, and R7 are each hydrogen;
• R5 is fluoro;
• R3 and R3′ are each, independently, selected from hydrogen and deuterium;
• and salts, solvates, hydrates, prodrugs, and enantiomers thereof.
